At Reuse Swap Store, we’re incredibly grateful for the generous donations we receive every week. Recently, we’ve seen a heartwarming increase in adult clothing donation, from casual wear to formal outfits, including many preloved pieces and we truly appreciate the kindness of our community. These charity-driven efforts make a big difference.
But here’s the truth: baby and toddler items are donated far less often, and yet, they are among the most in-demand things in our store.
Why Baby Items Matter
Babies grow at an astonishing pace. One minute, those tiny newborn onesies fit perfectly, and within a few short months, they’re already too snug. The same goes for baby shoes, swaddles, strollers, and even baby chairs, items that parents spend a lot on but can only use for a short window of time.
That’s why preloved or 2nd hand baby items are so valuable. They are often still in excellent condition, and by donating them instead of storing them away or throwing them out, you’re extending their life while helping another family. After all, why should we all keep buying new when we can swap, share, and reuse?
The Gap We See at Reuse Swap Store
While thrift and adult clothing donations are abundant, baby clothes and baby essentials are donated much less often. This creates a gap: parents in need often come in searching for items like swaddles, bibs, strollers, baby carriers, or toddler outfits, but we don’t always have enough to offer.
Imagine being a new parent and not having to worry about buying yet another set of clothes your baby will outgrow in weeks. Or being able to find a second hand stroller or baby chair without spending a fortune. That’s the difference your donations can make.

If you’re a parent (or know someone who is) and still have:
Pre-loved baby clothes (all sizes, from newborn to toddler)
Swaddles, bibs, napkins
Baby shoes and hats
Baby chairs, carriers, strollers, push walker
Toys or learning materials suitable for babies and toddlers
… please consider donating (derma) them to the Reuse Swap Store. These used items may no longer serve your family, but for another parent, they could be a lifesaver.
