为什么倡导绿色祭拜？Why advocate for Eco-friendly Worship?
在中国传统文化中，人们在清明节（通常在4月初）扫墓祭祖，会焚烧纸扎品，以表思念，希望祖先在阴间也能过得舒适。焚烧这些象征性的物品，被认为可以为逝去的亲人在来世带来安慰与保障。然而大量的焚烧纸扎用品并不环保并且会造成环境污染，这时候提倡绿色祭拜活动可以减少大量用纸从而减少环境污染。
In traditional Chinese culture, during the Qingming Festival (usually in early April), people visit the graves of their ancestors to pay their respects. They burn paper offerings as a way to express their longing, hoping that their ancestors can live comfortably in the afterlife. Burning these symbolic items is believed to provide the deceased with comfort in the afterlife. However, the large-scale burning of paper offerings is not environmentally friendly and can cause pollution. Promoting eco-friendly worship during the Qingming Festival can help reduce excessive paper usage and thus lessen environmental impact.

To promote Eco-friendly worship, we propose an innovative and sustainable solution: categorizing cemetery paper offerings and presenting each category on a single A4 sheet. This approach enables individuals to selectively print only what they need, thereby significantly reducing paper consumption and the scale of burning rituals. Ultimately, this initiative helps protect the environment, lowers carbon emissions, and contributes to improved air quality during traditional memorial periods.
